Proper design and effective use of the built environment can lead to a reduction in the incidence and fear of crime and an improvement in the quality of life.

The South Windsor Police Department offers residential and/or business crime prevention consultations. Some of the topics discussed are property lighting, fences, locks and deadbolts, landscaping, windows, placement of personal possessions, and other tips to assist in making your home or business less prone to criminal acts.
