Lieutenant Rick Watrous is assigned as the commander of
patrol operations. Lt. Watrous has been a member of the South Windsor
Police Department since 1993.
Lt. Watrous has served as a patrol officer, patrol
supervisor, criminal investigator and a narcotics investigator. Lt.
Watrous served as a member of the Tri-Town Narcotics Task Force; a
multi-jurisdictional unit charged with the investigation of drug trafficking in
the towns of Manchester, Vernon and South Windsor. Lt. Watrous also served
as a task force member with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Lt. Watrous is a certified bicycle officer and served as a
member of South Windsor's Special Enforcement Unit. He is also a certified
police diver and served as a diver with the Capitol Region Emergency Services
Team (CREST). Additionally, Lt. Watrous served as a member of the capitol
region Urban Search and Rescue team (USAR).
Lt. Watrous holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from
Central Connecticut State University. |
