
Lieutenant
Richard Bond is assigned as the commander of the Special Services Division.
The division is responsible for the criminal investigations unit, youth and
victim services, the school resource officer program, the traffic safety
enforcement unit, the special enforcement unit and narcotics investigations.
Lt. Bond has been a member of the department since 1980.
He has served as a patrol officer, a patrol supervisor and watch commander.
He has served as a criminal investigator, traffic accident investigator and
reconstructionist. He is currently assigned as the manager of the region's
Metro Traffic Services (MTS), a regional traffic safety enforcement team.
Lt. Bond is a South Windsor native. He attended
Stonehill College and Charter Oak State College.
